I am a dairy farmer in north Kerry Ireland. There has always
been greyhounds on the farm along side the cows. The farm is almost completely
surrounded by the sea, so when the dogs go hunting they cannot get off the farm.
There are no near neighbours or sheep so the dogs can free at all times day &
night. In the fine weather they sleep out in the fields and in bad weather they
come into the sheds. I used to rear dogs for other people ie Matt Travers, John
Quinn (Im Slippy) Richard O'Reagan, Eddie & Jimmy Wade and many more. I don't do
it anymore only my own dogs.
As a hobby I source
greyhounds for clients in England And it has grown steadily into an alternative
enterprise on the farm, In an area where there are a lot of greyhounds reared as
a hobby on farms, they are not professionally trained, so improvement is
expected. I send dogs on repeat orders to lots of English trainers. I send dogs
to Scotland, flaps & NGRC. Sittingbourne, Romford, Walthamstow, Henlow,
Crayford, Yarmouth, Bellevue, Sunderland, Brough Park etc.
I have been dealing
with the same people for years and they will all give me the highest references.
I can get any grade of dog from £200 to top open class. The list changes
regularly if what you want is not on here give me a ring I can quickly get it.
